Questions? 202-990-2500 · help@criminalcenter.com

Criminal Center, 1701 Pennsylvania Ave NW # 200, Washington, DC 20006, phone 202-990-2500.

What happens in the hour

  • We go over the judgment, the presentence report (PSR) if you have it, and the Guidelines range.
  • We tell you plainly which options look realistic, and whether this is work we can take on.
  • If more work makes sense, you get a separate quote for that work after the hour.

What to have nearby

Have the case number (also called the docket number), the judgment — the court's final order that states the sentence — the presentence report (PSR) if you have a copy, any sentencing memorandum already filed, and any hearing date or deadline. If your family member is in prison and has health problems, Bureau of Prisons (BOP) medical records help too. If you are not sure what applies, that is fine; that is what the hour is for.

Until then, ask your family member not to discuss the case on prison phones or prison email. Those calls and messages are recorded.
