How This Site Uses Cookies

Short version: this site does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.

Effective October 9, 2026.

We don't use advertising cookies or analytics trackers on sentencing.net, and we don't use cookies to follow you across other websites.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set cookies needed for security and to keep the site working. It also receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

Some older articles show pictures that load from Pixabay (cdn.pixabay.com), an image service. Loading those pictures sends Pixabay the same kind of basic technical information.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site's pages will still work.

What we do not set

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to store. We do not use cookies to advertise, to build a profile of you, or to follow you from this site onto other websites. We do not sell browsing data.

Visit counts are a separate tool. As the privacy policy explains, Cloudflare Web Analytics totals pages viewed, the referring site, country, and device type. That tool does not use a cookie and does not identify you. A short note your browser keeps for one session, recording how you arrived, is also not a cookie. It is described in the privacy policy. If you book a consultation, that note can be sent with the request. It does not include your name.

Cookies the host may set

Cloudflare, the company that serves the site, may set a cookie that the site needs for security and to stay up, for example to filter abusive traffic. We do not use that cookie to recognize you on a later visit for marketing. Blocking it can, on some networks, make a page fail to load. The pages themselves do not require an account cookie.

Older articles sometimes show a photograph loaded from Pixabay (cdn.pixabay.com). Your browser sends that service the same kind of technical information it sends any image host: an IP address, a browser type, and the address of the page. That is a request for the picture, not a Criminal Center cookie.

Choices and questions

You can refuse or delete cookies in the settings for your browser. The text of the articles will still be there. If a security cookie is blocked and a page will not load, allow cookies for this site and try again.

Questions about this policy go to help@criminalcenter.com. The privacy policy is the fuller account of what we collect when you write to us or use the consultation form. This page is about cookies and similar technical data, not about legal advice. The articles on the site are general information about federal cases.
